My daughter never ceases to amaze me. last night after dinner she asked if we could play carcassonne. Since this game is rated for ages 10+ I would say that this is pretty good. She is actually starting to get some of the basic concepts of the game. Granted, I have simplified the rules, but Katya is really a bright kid.

Windshields are a good thing

I have to say that I am definitely glad that I have the windshield on the bike. It has been like 50 degrees in the morning lately and I have been good with just my riding jacket. Last year I needed a polar fleece at that temp.

Not too wet

Yesterday was wet to say the least. We had torrential rains - got over 6
inches of rain in les than an hour. The creek by the office overflowed after
I headed home. I came home to find about 1/3" of water in part of the
basement after the sump pump got stalled. We had to use 2 shop vacs & vacuum
it all up. The basement will hopefully dry up in a few days. No damage to
anything that I could see luckily. I posted a few pictures form my phone
yesterday.

We did a 200+ mile run to & from Wildwood Saturday. It was a good ride all in all. Rain has been helping plan a friend's wedding lately so that is keeping her somewhat busy. Katya continues to amaze me with some of the things that she comes up with, she has a very good sense of reasoning.

Ok So I haven't posted much lately...

I need to try and be better about that. We're going to Wildwood for the Roar
to the shore bike rally today. It was a good event last year, lots of
vendors. This year we're winding through the pines on the way down instead
of heading straight down the parkway. Rain is unemployed again but looking
very ard for a job. I know she'll find something soon. Its time to find a
mortgage company and start looking at houses so we can see about moving out
of Manahawkin sometime in the next few months. Kayta is doing good, she's
going through the whining, not listening to adults phase so life has been
interesting as of late, but we'll survive.
