Well, tonight we started painting the spare room. I like the color.... We are doing the walls, trim, doors, ceiling all the same color, then we'll sponge a lighter color on the walls/doors. Should be interesting.
This weekend we decided to take Katya to see Santa. We were going to go see him at Story Book Land but it was too cold and she was not dressed warmly enough. We ended up taking her to the mall and getting pictures taken there with Santa. The pictures came out OK though Rain doesn't think so. Katya was fine until it was her turn to get her picture taken - this is normal though, we went through this to get her passport photos, etc. We ended up in Kay Bee toys while we were there. We picked out some stuff that we were looking for and Rain took her off to wander while I bought it and took it to the Jeep. We're pretty well on our way to getting her Christmas stuff all taken care of.

On Sunday I finally found the wire that goes tot he heater in Rain's car and got the heat/AC to work with the remote start now. That has been nagging me since I installed it last year. I recently found a wiring chare for a remote start for her car and that clued me in as to which one I needed to look at.

Yesterday we went and got the paint to re-do the spare bedroom, so we will see how it turns out. I plan on starting on it tonight when I get home from work. We're doing sponge painting, and will try and paint the doors too and see how it turns out. Like I tell Rain - if we don't like how it turns out we can always re-paint it again. We're going to turn the room into a guest bedroom when we are done. The filing cabinet will be left in the room so we might paint it to match the walls so it blends in. It should be interesting to see how it turns out. We're even going to do the ceiling to match, but no sponge painting (At least I don't think so).

Wow, i guess it's been like a week since I posted. Not too much has been happening this last week. Normal day to day stuff mostly. I got the repair quote on my GPS - $95.00 - I told them to send it back, I can get a brand new (with warranty) one for $130, and decided to upgrader to the sporttrak pro for $220 instead. It has lots more RAM which means less swapping out of maps, I might even save up and get the new map software so I can upload turn by turn directions. With any luck it will be here today. The new fishtank light is so much better than what I was running before, you can see the inside of the tank much better and the mon lights are pretty darn cool.

We went to the Renault Winery last night with Fred & his wife. It was expensive but well worth the night out. Nancy seemed to enjoy herself, and I know we both did. It's noce to get out and relax with some friends and have a nice quiet dinner.

We tookj Katya out for her first halloween - it was fun. She loved it and got the idea pretty quick. We took her to my parents street first then  I took her around the block in the wagon and she was pooped by the time we were done. The next morning she wanted to put her costume on and do it again....

I got my new fishtank light today - wow what a  difference. I can't wait to see the moon lights in action and see what they do for the tank. I'm sure it will be a cool thing to see. THis light puts out way more light than the old ones that I had (they were from 2 10 gallon tanks anyway). I'm in the process of cleaning the tanks up, re-landscaping, etc.
