Well yesterday ws Thanksgiving - it went well. THe pumpkin pies turned out real well, I think I'll do them fresh again next year. Katya wasn't real big on dinner since she was munching on the munchies beforehand. This morning we set up the Xmas tree and started decorating.

I would not have believed it if I had not read it.

Well, I know I'm the parent of a 2 year old.. for the last 3 days I have had one of the songs from the Wiggles stuck in my head and I have not seen the show since Friday.... AAAAHHHH!

We got the spare room painted. The filing cabinet blends right in with the room, it turned out real good. Now to find a bed and dresser and lamp for the room to finish it off. Our bedroom is next.

Well, the spare room is almost done now. Yesterday I sponged the second color on the walls and got the first coat of paint on the filing cabinet. Since it is staying in that room, We decided to paint it to match the walls so it would blend in. Today I put the second coat on it and sponged it to match. It is drying right now and looks real good.

 

I decided that this year since we had a couple of pumpkins from Halloween I would try to make pumpkin pie. Yesterday while  I was waiting for paint to dry I cooked one of the pumpkins (the other had gone bad) and then scooped out the insides. I got about 5 pounds of pumpkin from that one so I had plenty. Today I made 2 pumpkin pies (they are in the oven now). I can't wait to see how they turn out, this will be my first attempt at doing this.

Well, the first coat is on the walls & ceiling. Tonight I'm going to do the trim and the corners, etc. Then tomorrow I'll do the second coat and then we are ready to sponge the walls. I'll probably paint the doors tonight as well. We plan on doing the doors to match the walls, with the trim left as the base color to off-set it.
